Benefits Finder

One extremely helpful site for finding out which benefits you qualify for and who to contact is BenefitsCheckUp.® The instructions for using the site to qualify for home care services are as follows:

  1. Visit https://benefitscheckup.org/

  2. Enter your Zip Code and submit

  3. The next page will ask What type of benefit programs are you interested in? Feel free to check off as many items as you need to, but the item that will get you qualified for Medicaid funded Home Care and/or Family Caregiver Pay is under the Aging In Place category.

  4. Under the Aging In Place category, it will show you the number of programs available, click the down arrow on the right to view the list.

  5. The program you'll need to view is Community Care Services Program. By now, you should also be seeing a phone number that you can call to speak with someone directly.

  6. If you click View More Info, you'll see a little bit more information, including information about the name of the AAA agency for your area. That is the agency you will need to contact.

You can see the full contact information for your local AAA agency by scrolling down the page, under Frequently Asked Questions > Who should I contact?

IMPORTANT: Please note that we do not own or control the website / resource links contained on this page, so it's possible that the site developers will change or rearrange certain pages. Waiting List

Please note that most Older Americans Act services in Georgia currently have a waiting list. Individuals who meet the high priority criteria may not receive services immediately; individuals who do not meet the high priority criteria are generally expected to have a waiting time of more than 12 months.
